In developing the Midlands Space Cluster, the partnership has developed Assets aimed at supporting companies in the region. This includes the Pivot into Space programme, Research Assets in the region and Best Practice guidance on getting support.

Pivot into Space is a cross-sector innovation programme to support smaller companies in the Midlands to diversify into upstream space markets. This encompasses space manufacturing (including the design, manufacture of spacecraft, payloads, systems, subsystems, and components) as well as the infrastructure required to launch and operate them.
The project is funded by the UK Space Agency and forms part of a £6.5 million support package designed to boost the space sector across the UK by funding high-impact, locally-led schemes and space cluster development managers.
Midlands Aerospace Alliance has been pleased to offer support to West Midlands companies interested in entering the space sector through the Business Growth West Midlands funded Supply Chain Transition Programme.
The Supply Chain Transition Programme (SCTP) aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West Midlands to diversify their customer base by winning new orders in growing areas of the economy.
SCTP Aerospace aims to help 40 businesses to enter the aerospace or space sectors, which are two of the focus clusters specified in the West Midlands Plan for Growth.
Companies on the programme are receiving a range of support including 1:1 expert consultancy, opportunities to meet potential customers, networking events and an extensive webinar series.
